pound IN THE PARK

  • Green Acres Boise 612 south 14th street Boise United States (map)

This is the 5th workout in our “Pound for a Purpose” Workout series! Join the Treasure Valley Pound Posse each month at Green Acres for a free Pound Workout to benefit a different local charity each month. For September, we are supporting Game Changers of Idaho. This organization’s mission is to find those who seek to spread goodness, so that others may be fulfilled, by offering a variety of opportunities for kids with and without disabilities. We often use sports as a vehicle to create relationships and to focus on the ability of children, rather than the disability.

Channel your inner rockstar w/ this full-body cardio-jam session inspired by the infections, energizing, and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums. This is a donation-based workout & proceeds will benefit Game Changers of Idaho.

For any donation of $10 or higher, you will receive a free drink from the Green Acres Bar or Ice Cream & Soda shop :)

Fill your bellies after the workout with 7 local vendors onsite: Rib Shack BBQ, The Fizzy Cow Ice Cream & Soda Shop, The Green Acres Bar, Just Bee Acai, Darjeeling Momo, Howboys and Meltz Extreme Grilled Cheese! Live Music starts at 11am!

A little about PoundFit: Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Using Ripstix®, lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising, POUND transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out.

Designed for all fitness levels, POUND® provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out! The workout is easily modifiable and the alternative vibe and welcoming philosophy appeals to men and women of all ages and abilities.
